Rosa's Lounge will host a special Blues U.® multimedia presentation, "Myths and Legends of the Blues", on Friday, May 8th, from 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Steve Pasek will present an overview of the early history of the music that made Chicago famous, including audio and video clips that help trace the origins of the music, and help you tell the difference between the two Sonny Boys, the three Kings, and find out what a "mojo" is and how to get it workin'. The presentation will be followed by a live show with Eddie Taylor Jr. Registration for the class is $20 in advance, $25 at the door, and includes cover charge for the live show as well as one beer, wine, or well drink.
It's a good prelim to the Chicago Blues Festival in June, with a classic Chicago blues band as well.
