Recognised as one of the UK top slide players Roger has graced many major events including Glastonbury and shared the stage with Muddy Waters in 1971. In addition to his solo career, Roger is regularly performing with his band Buick 6, and devotes time to writing. His song Home Lovin’ Man was recorded by Eric Bibb on his 2003 album Natural Light.

Having toured much of Europe and USA captivating audiences with his intimate blues style, Jim can totally surprise an audience with his resonant barrelhouse blues vocals. A great finger picker, slide player and writer much revered by his fellow professional musicians.

Performed by members of The K C Dance School which includes world champion Levon De Silva and other dancers from the 2009 World Championship.

Primo Blue are a mix of funky blues, Hendrix, reggae and 70’s soul. Val takes the vocal duties, Paul Jobson plays keyboards with Tony Qunta guitar and vocals. The full sound blended by Spy on bass and leader Sam Kelly on drums

This Texan sensation is at the forefront of bringing roots music into the 21st century and re-defining it for a contemporary audience. His mentor Bo Diddley said – you got to put some seasoning in what you’r doing – and this boy’s got the whole salt shaker.

At 15 years old, Jack has performed over 100 gigs, and has invested heavily researching the blues by touring and playing across The Mississippi Delta.

Two young musicians from The West Midlands, Amit and Richard are making a big impact in their local area, as skilful guitarists and clever composers. “A kicking set of acoustic roots blues, with passion and subtlety, damn good musicianship and good humour.” Upton Blues Festival.

Paul (vocals and guitar) and Tony (harmonica) offer a repertoire of early country, Chicago, and contemporary blues interspersed with Paul’s original compositions. Material by Mississippi John Hurt, Big Bill Broonzy and Robert Johnson will be to the fore.

11.10pm BEX MARSHALL

An explosion of blue hot acoustic slide roots/rock, poker twisted with a whipping of Bluegrass, a versatile guitarist with a unique earthy melting pot of a voice. Her music has been described as – Bonnie Raitt and Led Zep jamming in an everglade moonshine joint.
THE LONG ROOM

8pm SOPHIE HENDERSON
Sophie is a singer songwriter with a voice as sweet as sugar and lyrics as sharp as steel. One of this young lady’s high profile gigs was for the England Rugby Team, so watch out – this girl’s going to rattle your cage!

9pm CHISTOPHER BROWN is 14 and studies guitar at the Centre For Young Musicians in Lambeth. He plays the blues with a prematurely broken heart and country with all the joy of one who has seen the light. Come and see the future here & now.

9.30pm PAUL MCKEE

Paul is a Berkshire based finger style guitarist with over 20 years experience. His performances are influenced by the likes of legends Chet Atkins, Jerry Reed and Tommy Emmanuel, so there are guaranteed to be plenty of toe tapping and genteel head banging.

10.30pm DARCY O’MARA is 14 and studies guitar at Frensham Heights. No traditional picking/finger style here. For Darcy the guitar is a magic box and she has been given the key.

10.30pm ROLAND CHADWICK AND NIK LINNIK

Tonight they present their unique brand of acoustic-shred. Inspired by the legendary McLaughlin/Di Meola/De Luca guitar trio, they’ll present some new tunes in that, “ I don’t have a life, I just practice” style culminating in the thrilling Mediterranean Sundance. The sun will break through those Banbury clouds.
