u can buy the mp3 CD on amazon for $7.99 for the whole Jailhouse blues CD or just buy the tracks you want for .89 each :) These ebay collectors are making it rough on people who just want the music to enjoy! I will look around here at some places see if I can find any for ya
Crying Sam Collins

as for..
Complete Recorded Works In Chronological Order, 1929-1931
~ Clifford Gibson Price: $16.98
this cd u can still buy new at amazon or ImportCD sells it for 13.84 shipping is what will cost ya I guess. Importcd is great for finding the hard to find cd and usually the cheapest

thanks so much Breeze..(i'm no whizzo on the PC,I've only just starting to get the hang of this downloading thing!ha!) but i'll manage this..one good thing today i've picked up Clifford Gibson cd on Document Records "Complete Recorded Works 1929-31"on Ebay I purchased yesterday for 10 english pounds from a private seller, not a business store.....your right about the Ebay rip-off these business people who charge crazy postage costs on top ,trouble is we need this stuff even in these hard times!..like most collecvtors I do like to have a genuine copy if possible but sometimes 'needs must' when no other choice.....anyway it's here,so pleased with that & it arrived this morning to boot!!...I'm off to check out Sam Collins on Amazon !!!
I'll let y'know how I get on ..heehee!!...if you see it around town.y'know where i am !! lol

My site pix..it's an LP cover comes from one of the first Blues albums I ever bought around 1968 called DIRT BLUES it's full of Texas Bluesmen like Sam Hopkins,T-Bone Walker,Lil'son Jackson,Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee & the amazing Luke Long Gone Miles !! on the old Minit Records, which made a good impression on me back then & in turn sent me into so many avenues of finding the real Deep Blues.

thanks so much for your reply & yer help.
cheers Dave

YES YES YES!!!..I'm now all sorted, Breeze...

I've now got the Crying Sam Collins recording through the british Amazon as I'd had no luck with your Amazon USA link as that was for you USA citizens only..gawd knows why, it was only a download..ha!...anyway UK version of Amazon charged me £5.99..sounded like a fair deal gone down to me..so I'm now the owner of these gems of recordings from Crying Sam Collins & his Git-Fiddle, Jailhouse Blues, Yazoo L-1079, that i'll transfer to Cd

your a star

Finally! Congrats Dave.
Thank the lord almighty for downloading........anyway i've finally got my grubby hands on it...mighty fine it is too.

while yer there Rick....Chris has finally pulled the rabbit outta the hat with this one,Cedell Davis at the Deep Blues Festival..if that don't get the punters in,what will...I've gotta get that flight now !!!!!!
Hey Dave very cool your all set, I rather have the hard copy myself too I like to rip all my own music for when I spin.

I hate what eBay collectors have done, use to you could go to yard sells here and find real gems you know. Now you got all these ebay people hitting them and worst part is they stand there and bug ya to drop the price when they are going to sell them for 10 x that on eBay. They act like they want the stuff for their own pleasure like they are fooling us. I call them on that crap anymore, they taken all the fun out of it.

You know I thought I had seen that cover picture before hehe. I love those Texas Blues. Think I will get that crying sam cd myself I checked it out when I was hunting for you. Glad I could help.

Breeze
Hey Breeze...Thats cool you like the Sam Collins stuff..the Clifford Gibson is a little gem too !!

Just got into Johnny Geechie Temple he's worth checkin' out..the track "OLDS 98 Blues" is a must-have track & worth the albums cost alone.
available on Johnny Temple Vol 3 on Document or a 'Chicago Boogie 1947' compilation on St George Records with Sleepy John Estes/Othum Brown/Boll Weevil/Little Walter & Othum Brown/Johnny Williams & Johnny Young..originally all the tracks on the rare ORA NELLE RECORDS,so good !!
