LiveBluesWorld

Hi Everyone!  We are putting together Volume 2 in our "All Aboard The Blues" compilation series, and we would like to hear from you if you would be interested in our promotion service.  For a one-time fee of $695, selected bands receive: a spot on the album, 100 copies of the CD, 20 full color album posters, distribution and potential radio play to dozens of radio stations worldwide, distribution to blues publications etc, your band pic and site link on our site www.errorcraft.com.

Albums are limited edition promotional albums with full-color custom graphic design on 6-panel digipak sleeve with "bio" write ups and color band photo.  Albums are not sold, and our artists retain all rights to their original song.  Albums are distributed on a promotional basis only as part of a press pack we send out to our contacts in radio/the general music industry.

If this sounds like an opportunity you would be interested in, please send us a link to your music site/mp3s etc to submit@errorcraft.com.

All Aboard The Blues Volume 2 is due out Halloween 2010, and we have spots available.  You can check out an mp3 sample of Volume 1 at our main site www.errorcraft.com or by clicking the attachment below.  Thanks!

Dave .... Does this mean your not sending me $200.00
Hey Sue,
The check is in the mail.

I look forward to also seeing you on Facebook.

Hi Dave, not sure where all the hatred is coming from, but we're actually on the same side, ya know, press releases, publicity, promoting great new music. By the way, our "Glory Road" compilation has some cool roots/folk/Americana bands/solo artists featured on it that you may enjoy and would be cool for your "Just Roots" site. Let us know if you would like a copy of any of our upcoming releases. Let's keep the music going together, but ease up on the attitude my friend, nobody gets anywhere with that nonsense.
Hi again everyone, seems we have some very successful professionals out there who have made it big without the help of any such service, but for those of you not too worn out to actually take a chance on yourself and to consider something a bit different, this is a pretty cool opportunity. This is a legitimate promotion service, and some simple math would tell most of us that designing, manufacturing, and distributing an album all over the world costs a few thousand bucks, so collecting $695 from a dozen or so bands makes this a labor of love at best, and not an "old ruse" or something that "smells". Come one guys, why so cynical and bitter? If this is something beneath your talent level, sobeit...but let other up-and-comers who might need some affordable help in getting their music into the hands of radio DJs make up their own mind here. Not everything in this industry is an automatic scam despite what your grandparents have told you. Best of luck to all.
These services also provide digital delivery(complete CD) to radio for a fraction of $695.00

Thanks for the links, Rick! Remeber that our service includes some physical CDs/posters that bands love handing out to friends and fans. Also, being on a compilation album with other really good artists adds to the legitimacy of each band on the album. How many bands send in their self-released album, digital or physical, to radio stations everyday? In other words, anyone can upload their album to iTunes or send in a demo to a radio station...and then what? The feedback we've received from DJs is that they take a second look at bands on a compilation album, even those released by a tiny independent label such as ours. So you're comparing apples and oranges a bit. Indeed, this is a DIY world for most bands with sites like tunecore.com and those you mentioned. Our service adds to the promotional exposure an unsigned band can realize along with self-releasing and distributing their own music. Many up-and-coming bands, like those we've featured, are very busy writing, recording, and touring, and appreciate the added boost in promotional help we can offer for a nominal one-time fee. Hope this clears things up for ya.
Hi Kathleen, you are certainly well-established, good for you and the band. We reach out to acts who may not necessarily have the connections you do, or who need an added boost in promotion. In fact, anyone without a recording contract could find our service very helpful. Love all your cover songs, keep rockin' the blues!
