Simplification of your Profile Pages
New Message Center
We're really excited about this change. You've probably noticed that up until now, your inbox and message center opens up in the top part of the screen. It's clunk and unwieldy. Not anymore! When you click on your inbox link in the top right corner of any page, you'll open up a full screen message center that's much easier to navigate.
Updates to your Profile page
The big change you'll see is that we’re updating the profile page, making some changes to improve the way the page looks, and setting us up for new upcoming enhancements.
A few of the key changes are:
- The title of the page behaves as it does today. It’s just moved to the center column, but is still editable.
- The comment box on My Page starts closed when you are looking at your own page, which will look a bit cleaner. This is only closed when you are looking at your own profile.
- The biggest change you'll notice in this release is the profile page is now the only page on a network that displays a your chosen appearance. Currently, the your theme is displayed on your blog, My Settings and friends pages too. With this new release, your blog and friends pages now take on the theme of the network, not your theme. This will allow us to better feature member blog posts while creating a less confusing and disconnected experience for everyone.
