Chat and IM are coming back soon...more improvements on the way
For those of you that are wondering what happened to Chat and Instant Messaging on LiveBluesWorld, well...they were lost in a nasty techie spat that played out over the past week. In the end, we lost some pretty cool features, but over the coming couple of weeks, you'll seem them come back, hopefully better then ever.
First up, Chat and IM will come back over the weekend if all goes according to plan.
You'll also soon seen a much improved email inbox. Soon thereafter, we'll be able to offer a host of new widgets and gadgets for your profile page to continue to help you make that the perfect home for promoting yourself and your work on the site.
And there's much more to come, so stay tuned. We have a lot in the works over here as we continue to work to make LiveBluesWorld the best online home of the Blues.

Hi Stuart. Yes, there will be an offline option in this new version of chat. So you'll be able to see your status as 'offline' and you won't appear in the chat box.

Well, for those of you that were keeping score, you'll notice that chat isn't back yet, and some of the other improvements mentioned above aren't here either. They are coming...but a bit more slowly then I had anticipated. Technology...gotta love it.
The chat application is still a bit of a work in progress...I am hoping we'll be able to put it up on the site within the next couple of weeks. It is still a bit buggy, and I don't want to put something up that will drive folks mad.
The other improvements, including a new iphone application, are expected to launch by the end of the month. Stay tuned...I'll keep y'all posted as we get closer.
