Heya, gang. Just a quick note to let you know that Living Blues Award winner and Blues Music Award nominee Jimmy "Duck" Holmes will be playing two big shows in February.

On Friday, Feb. 22, Duck will appear at BB's Jazz, Blues & Soups in downtown St. Louis, Missouri. The show also coincides with Broke & Hungry Records owner Jeff Konkel's birthday . . . so if you show up, be sure to buy him a beer. He loves pale ale.

On Saturday, Feb. 23, Duck will play the Traditional Blues Festival in Worthington, Ohio (just outside of Columbus). Duck hits the main stage at 7 p.m. Also appearing at the fest are Moreland & Arbuckle, not to mention the legendary Honeyboy Edwards.

Great shows Jeff. And working in a plea for free beer...nicely done. That Feb 23 show is a heck of a lineup. Wish I was in Ohio that night...anyone that's in that vicinity has no excuse.
