Florence Joelle’s Kiss of Fire Live at Jump Jive and Shout

Florence and her group Kiss Of Fire have been impressing audiences with their unique brand of roots sounds, not just in London but all over Europe it seems. 

With a style all her own and a subconscious colonised by vintage American tunes, sings of things that go bump in the night.

Paris-born, she was bred on jazz at home, and on the music of the city’s streets: the Gypsy art of Django Reinhardt, bal musette, and North African rai.  As a girl she began to collect rock’n’roll, doo-wop and rhythm’n’blues, and echoes of all these can be heard in her songwriting.
